Today was a nice day to be driving. No rain. Cooler temperatures. Very little wind. We left Bellingham around 1:00 p.m. and arrived in Corbett at 8:15 p.m. Our team has plenty of time to get settled tonight and get some sleep. We are going to need it. The team has to be ready for the day at 7:15 p.m. Please pray for a good night sleep and for a great opening day of VBS.
We made it!
July 7, 2008 by ibcstudentministriesWe are leaving tomorrow
July 5, 2008 by ibcstudentministriesBags are being packed. Lists are being made and checked twice. The church van is clean. I can’t believe that we are leaving for Corbett tomorrow.
We will attempt to keep the blog updated while we are on the trip. There are a couple of ways you can support the team.

Attend a prayer meeting at Immanuel Bible Church. The meetings will be at 6:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday.
I am excited about the things God is going to do in us and through us as we serve Him in Corbett.
Only a few weeks away
June 17, 2008 by ibcstudentministriesIt is hard to believe that June is here already and we will be leaving in only a few short weeks. The team will leave for Corbett following the morning service at Immanuel Bible Church. We are blessed to be at a church that is just as excited as we are about taking mission trips.
The main discussion topic at our last team meeting was being a servant. We spent some time looking at all the ways that Jesus took the role of a servant. He is God and has every right to be served. I am convinced that every church in the world would benefit by having more people with the heart of a servant. Many influences in our culture tell us to only be concerned about ourselves. The Apostle Paul wrote,
“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” (Philippians 2:3-4, NASB)
I am excited about the many opportunites to serve when we are in Corbett. Please pray that our team would glorify God in everything we do.
God has provided
June 4, 2008 by ibcstudentministriesI am amazed that God has provided all of the money we need for our mission trip. Thank for allowing yourself to be used by God to provide for our needs. Please take a moment today to thank God for all that he has provided.
Since we will have a surplus of funds, the remaining funds will go to support the trip to Guatemala. Visit ism08guatemala.com to find out more about this trip.
First team meeting
March 27, 2008 by ibcstudentministriesThe Corbett team met for the first time on April 6th. It was exciting to get the group together and begin to plan and pray for the the trip.
